Michael Salvatori has been writing and producing music for many years. His relationship with Bungie began in 1997 with Myth: The Fallen Lords, and has continued with their most recent release, Destiny 2.

Along the way have been many award winning collaborations: with Marty O'Donnell (two Myth games, Oni, and five Halo games), with Marty O'Donnell, C Paul Johnson, and Paul McCartney (Destiny), with C Paul Johnson and Skye Lewin (Destiny: The Taken King), and with Skye Lewin, C Paul Johnson and Rotem Moav (Destiny: Rise of Iron), which won ASCAP's 2016 Video Game Score of the Year.

In 2012, Michael collaborated with Marty O'Donnell and Paul McCartney on Music of the Spheres; a 48 minute, eight movement suite that remains unreleased.
